CANNA BUSINESS LENDERS

Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

We collect basic contact and inquiry information you provide directly to us, including:

If you are a business seeking financing (“Borrower”):

  • Contact information (name, email address, phone number if provided) submitted through our contact form or funding request form
  • General project details (business type, licensing status, type of funding sought, project timeline) submitted to help match you with a lender
  • Email address if you subscribe to our newsletter

If you are a private lender joining our lender network (“Lender”):

  • Company and contact information (company name, contact name, email, phone if provided)
  • Lending criteria (deal types funded, states active in, typical deal size range) submitted to help match Borrower requests to you

Canna Business Lenders operates as a matching service, not a lender. We do not collect financial documents, bank statements, tax records, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive financial information from Borrowers. Any such documentation is collected directly by the private lender a Borrower is matched with, as part of that lender’s own independent application and underwriting process, and is governed by that lender’s own privacy practices.

We may also collect certain information automatically when you visit the Site, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring URLs, typically through cookies or similar tracking technologies. [Insert specific detail on analytics/advertising tools actually in use — e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Pixel — once confirmed.]

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Match Borrower funding requests with Lenders in our network whose stated criteria fit the request
  • Notify Borrowers by email when they have been matched with a Lender — our process does not involve unsolicited phone calls to discuss loan details
  • Notify Lenders by email when a Borrower request matches their stated criteria
  • Respond to inquiries and provide customer support
  • Send newsletter communications, if you’ve opted in (you may unsubscribe at any time)
  • Improve and maintain the Site
  • Comply with legal obligations

How We Share Your Information

Canna Business Lenders operates a two-sided matching network. When a Borrower submits a funding request, we share that Borrower’s basic contact and project information — not financial documentation — with Lenders in our network whose stated criteria may fit the request. [Insert specifics: does the Borrower consent per-lender, or is this a blanket disclosure at time of submission? This distinction matters and should be reviewed by counsel.]

Once a Borrower is matched, we notify the Borrower by email, and the matched Lender contacts the Borrower directly to proceed. Any further information a Borrower provides to that Lender — including financial documents, bank statements, or other sensitive data — is collected and handled under that Lender’s own privacy policy, not this one. We encourage Borrowers to review each matched Lender’s privacy practices directly.

We do not sell personal information to third parties for their own independent marketing purposes. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the Site (e.g., hosting, email delivery, analytics), and as required by law.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

[Insert specific detail once confirmed: does the Site use cookies for analytics, advertising retargeting, or only functional/session purposes? This section should list actual cookie categories in use and, if serving users in jurisdictions requiring it (e.g., California, EU/UK visitors), include an appropriate consent mechanism.]

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. To make a request, contact us using the information below. [Insert state-specific disclosures if the business serves residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — e.g., California (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado, Virginia — since specific rights and required language vary by state and should be confirmed with counsel.]

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
